After crossing the bridge at Moen just follow the road, which crosses the river once more before ending up at a spacious parking area.

The pathway through Mørkridsdalen forms part of DNT's route in Luster, and is therefore well cleared and sign-posted. The pathway runs alongside the river before turning up to the unique Tjørnaholet.

After a while you will reach a farmhouse at Dulsete. After this the terrain is more or less flat past the mountain farm Liane and along the river to Dalen. For many the trip will end here, but the fittest will no doubt continue on up to Austra and Arentsbu.

Walking time to Dalen is about 2 hours, and to Austra roughly 3 to 4 hours.
